The month of May at Reading Frenzy we present an assortment of my favorite Portland graphic artists, sharing their interpretations of awards. This collective showing uses the iconography of recognition, while focusing on atypical qualities, triumphs, praises or defeats.

Playing with the award object, these works highlight the tragic optimism within our collective need to measure achievement with objects and prizes. These artists have joined forces to represent winning, losing and the various stages between, thereby debunking and celebrating the wisdom of award giving and receiving.
